Project SELF ("Summer Employment with Law Firms") is a summer internship program administered by OC-ALA and the Orange County Bar Foundation. Project SELF provides high school students with the opportunity to become a paid intern at a law firm or law-related agency or business, affording them a unique and valuable education experience.
Participation by law firms is essential to the success of Project SELF. Your firm can participate by employing one or more student for 30 hours per week during the 8-week internship. The cost is anticipated to be approximately $2,000 per intern to cover the intern's wages for the period of the internship. If unable to employ an intern, firms are invited to make a financial contribution. Contributions will be applied to intern transportation, attire and/or education materials.
The 2012 Project SELF program runs from June 18 through August 9.
